“Glass Flowers” is famous collection of glass botanical models at the Harvard Museum of Natural History (HMNH) at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, one of the Harvard Museums of Science & Culture. They were made by Leopold and Rudolf Blaschka from 1887 through 1936 at their studio in Hosterwitz, Germany, for teaching botany.

If you are in Cambridge and you have not yet seen the famous glass flowers, you really must. I promise you will stare at these in wonder, blown away by the fact that they are all made of glass. The collection at the Harvard Museum, one of their greatest treasures, was recently renovated in 2016.  Whether you are here in Cambridge already or plan to be soon, I urge you to make some time for this!
