Walking:

Cambridge, often  referred to as “Boston’s Left Bank”,  is packed with bookstores, cafes, museums, pubs, unique locally-owned shops, music venues and a wide range of international restaurants. Although Harding House is located on a wide residential street,  we are within walking distance of 3 famous “squares”.

  • Harvard Square, home of Harvard University, lends itself to tourism, museum visiting and sightseeing.
  • Central Square, named for its history as the crossroads of commerce, is known for its wide variety of restaurants,  live music and theatre venues and gives a slice of the diversity in Cambridge.
  • Inman Square, known for its restaurants and shops,  is more like a neighborhood to the locals.
  • Kendall Square, a still-burgeoning technology area, famous for MIT and companies such as Novartis and Google.
  • All three squares offer great restaurants, coffee shops, varied retail areas and performance areas or  theaters.
